Where to buy LMR 400 connectors?

#79633

I need two LMR 400 connectors (one for radio end and one for antenna end). RF parts has them, but they have a $25 minimum order. Does anyone know where I can buy them reasonably? Thanks!

I just use PL-259's on my LMR400, didn't know if there is any other special kind. Get the silve ones, Amphenol brand if you can find them. Radio Shack used to carry their brand, Fry's probably does, as does any ham radio store. You might even find a local business radio service place to get them from. They should run you $2.50 or so each, unless they've gone up. -drdx

Generally any connector that has true Bakelite or Teflon as insulator will work fine. Do not use the cheap ones were as soon as you heat tip, the "plastic" starts to melt or bubble.

Be sure to get the large coax sized connector. I have a chop that has them 20 mile from me I will be going to visit this week if you would like some. PM me. I will be going on Friday. So pm me today and tell me what you would like. I will charge you what he charges and shipping. They are not to high. You will pay more at RS and not have the good connectors. The female it the same connector. I can get some, but the size of the coax will not matter for the female.
