I just inherited from my Dad all of the radio equip he never let me touch when I was a kid. This was in the box and it's the only thing I have no clue what it is. I'm more than likely never going to use it, since I don't know what it is I probably have no use for it, but I am definitely curious about it.
Can someone tell me what this is?

The silver can looks like a noise suppressor of some kind. The box in the back that you see the coax plug on looks like a Drake LP1000 TVI filter. You've got a Turner box in there with most likely a +2, +3, or Super Sidekick microphone and the Pace box might make a good door stop. Pace wasn't the most wanted brand out there but I do believe one of the smokey and the bandit movies vehicles used a pace, so if it is the right model (longshot), it might be worth something to the right person. -drdx

Right, the turner box is a Super Sidekick, fo sho. The tvi filter was a dead on. good call. I didn't know it was that visible in the pic, My question was on the silver can.
The silver thing was in that pace box. nice and neat.
The group of things I got in the box was a Cobra 87gtl base, a Sears Roadtalker 40, an Astron rs 7a power supply, a couple of antenna switch boxes, a bunch of random misc. fuses, a Midland SWR/PWR meter, the Super Sidekick, and a stubby black Astatic D-104.
I was going to ebay all of it, but I decided to just box it back up and put it on a shelf. I primarily use my uniden and cobra mobiles that are in my rig and my pickup. I may put the roadtalker in my car. He was pretty involved in the radio community until he blew up Mom's tv one time too many, so I know all of these are talking machines. He would spend hours in his corner of the basement shooting skip all over the place.
