No i did not. I was thinking about it, but instead went with Glenn Martin's heavy duty hazer. And the heavy duty thrust bearing. I like all the antenna's they all work better for somethings then the other. Most important thing i found out, was height off the ground.

Nice! Always good to see a nice setup.

Quite a few beams around my neck of the woods, but no double beams!

how tall

Post by Century21 »

Its only 60 foot. i have more to add. but i wont, i wanna stay in the dx somewhat.
Its only 30 80lb bags. Thats how much you should use with a 60 ft tower.
I tend to leave most details about my equipment out. However my newest project is just a few posts down.

Can you hear me now?

I saw stacked PDL II antennae in a triangular configuration. Can't figure that out but it worked. He was in Wisconsin and I was here in Oly. He was dropping the maul, for sure so I asked for pictures. It was a pretty impressive sight.

I just wish that the antennae weren't so danged big for the CB band. I would then have a directional, for sure. My pet peve but that array you have is definitely impressive.

i asked about the cement because im putting up a 30 footer and was curious of how many bags it would take to fill a 3x3x3 ft hole . im guessing alot, maybe the hardware store can give an estimate :D
