my base (UPADTED PICS)
just had time this weekend to start my setup. more to follow. I have many more plans ahead. All I had time was to setup my 2m setup and scanner (discone in the attic). the scanner is a rat shack pro-2030 and the rig is a kenwood tm-271a. the antenna for 2m/70cm is a tram 1480.

MMM skunky beer. Beck's, Grolsch, Heineken.
Anyway back to the pics. Looks nice. I wish I had a base setup like that. Kinda hard to hang it off the porch of an apartment.

Same deal here, only I do stick to coors light/bud light. I'm the guy in the beer isle multiplying 12oz X 18, or 24, and then dividing to get the ounce price. Anything below the 6.5 cents/oz is good on premium brands. When it gets into the 5 range, my garage and power tools get involved, and that results in sparks, projects, front yard urination, and other unmentionables. I once spent most of an evening rejetting my harley (back in my 20's) for top speed. On the last run, I thought it was all dialed in, but could only get to about 95 in top gear. That was until I realized I was so plowed that I was only shifting into 4th and holding it there. Once I realized that, I shifted into 5th, let it spin on around past 120 and into the odometer, and rode home. After all that work, it ended up that the jet that originally came in the mikuni carb was the best one for the job. -drdx

lol i feel your pain there, I stick to coors light/bud light myself. I had a bout with Natural Light and was a very similar story, camping on the sand bar at the river and 4x4 fourwheelers and getting dared to drive across the river = flooded 4 wheeler and wet clothes and well you get the pic.drdx wrote:Same deal here, only I do stick to coors light/bud light.
