I can't agree with you more Trblshooter. All businesses and businessmen should be like GI Joes. I mostly do business with our sponsors since they do support us, but they also have reasonable prices too. Ican also vouch for Joe at DNJ Radio. I have purchased several things from them, most recently my Sirio 5000 Fighter edition antenna. Their customer service is second to none! 73s

YAAAAY!!!!! My Cobra 29 LTD Classic is here! I am pleased to report that cosmetically it looks better than described and it transmits with no problem. However, the stock mic that came with it when keyed sounds distorted, but I don't really need that one anyway, I can use a Cobra HGM75 PWR mic or my SRA198. I just wish I could find an RF Limited CR577. Can anyone recomend the next best power mic without echo? I'll see if I can post pictures of it but fair warning, I'malittle computer un-savvy! :geek:

I recently bought a Sears 934.36772600 23 channel Base\Mobile, a Sears 934-36771500 23 Channel Base\Mobile, a Road Pro RP 83W Antenna, and a Antron A-99 Base antenna that should be here tomorrow. I'll be looking at more garage sales this summer.

OK, since my last post. A Uniden Bearcat 980, am MFJ 874 SWR Power Meter, a previously owned NIB Uniden PRO520XL, a Radio Shack 13.8V 19 amp Power Supply, an MFJ 300 Watt Dummy Load, a Daiwa CS-201A 2 position coax Switch, and a used Kenwood TS 450S. (I know the Kenwood is full HAM gear.) I also decided to step up to General rating and ordered the General Class study Guide. Hopefully I'll be a General Class operator by New Years.

Opps, I forgot the free Regency CR-142, 23 Channel Base that works like champ.

Recently replaced my old Cobra 18 WX ST II in my 2000 Toyota 4 Runner (235K miles and still going strong!) with CRE 8900. Using Wilson Little Wil as the antenna. Oh and my 1st post!

OK, so I picked up a Realistic TRC 469 that needs work, but seems to RX and TX just fine and a new Radio Shack 13.8 V power supply with it. Then, Friday, I picked up some "junk", a Cobra 19 Plus and a K40 Model K401 made in 1984. This week I'll be picking up some real trading material though. Stand by to find out what I got and what I'm keeping. On a side note I got a Baofeng UV-5R V2+ a 2 meter and 70 centimeter Ham Walkie.

Wow, I wish that caliber of equipment was being advertised on a popular website from around my area. The best I've seen I'll write in a new post. I need to talk with pictures and this post seems to have come to an end of posting pics.

Found it in the Kansas City area. My sis is a ways away. But she was nice enough to go and get it. Got it out here while back. Old girl works pretty well speaker cone is hard so its a little hard to understand. The radio was originally 12 channels, somebody put a 23 channel dial and crystals in it. The shortwave radio is an RCA cant get it to power on at all think switch is messed up need further looking. Neat vintage stuff looking at the ads the radio is 1962 vintage way cool. Anyway will post a pic when and if it ever works.

Found this guy at a local thrift shop. I did not really need another old CB, but it was sitting there all alone so I took it back to the house so it could have some friends. It looks like it has never been installed. No scratches, no mods. Even the mic looks like it just came out of the box. Had the manual, hardware and original antenna. It seems to work, but the RF meter seems to be a bit wonky. No I just need to figure out what I am going to do with it???? I would post a pic, but I guess I am not allowed to do that? Hard to participate when they won't let you participate.

Just posting an update.....got my HAM ticket punched in December and started talking on the Baofeng UV-82HP then I pulled the trigger on a Yaesu FTM-3200DR mobile and a Nagoya UT-72 magnet mount. I tell ya that Yaesu is AWESOME!!!!! Fantastic sound, and loud too from a front firing speaker, and its C4FM/Fusion digital capable. The best thing I like about it is that it can determine if the incoming signal is digital or analog and you can switch back and forth between the two modes just by a quick tap of the PTT!!! 73's for now from a Yaesu fan!
