Have a Predator 10K inbound from G.I.Joes. Wish there was tracking. I'm replacing the Wilson 1000 Mag mount with something that works with a custom mount I had made for my old truck and finally put onto the new one.

a itty bitty external speaker from Astatic. surprised me on how loud it is for what I need it for. does a fine job. looks a lot better than a large one mounted on the dash of my vehicle.

TYT MD-380 DMR handi talkie. Didn't program it yet but it is supposed to link me to all the locals and all over the world. We will see if that is true later. Looks like a nice rugged radio.

A Breedlove 1inch diameter mount requiring a 5/8 inch hole to mount it. I have some tuning issues that I need to resolve. My custom mount is back at the fab shop I got it from to add 8 inches to it to put my antenna at cab height rather than dealing with reflection, and bonding and grounding issues taken care of.

Small item. A Top Gun CP-1 audio compressor. Not sure what ya'll think of them, but I like how it sounds. Installed it into my Galaxy DX959 using the resistor that comes with it now. Set up my Cobra 29LX in the apartment to receive while video recording. Drove a mile away, played with different settings while calling out what they were, went home and viewed the video to optimize my settings with it installed. A fun after work project today.

Tax return checks are "Fun Money" right? Ordered a RCI 2970N4 with a few mods. Of course, that means a new alternator and things for the mobile are needed. Where does it end? LOL!

Have this for quite a while. Was a pig in a Polk when I bought it. Couldn't test was from a silent key here locally. It didn't work and back burner-ed it because figured was gonna cost a lot to fix it. While back had a few extra bucks and shipped it off for repair. What a delight came home fixed up great and with minimal cost. My antenna switches are only rated a kilowatt so keep it throttled back. 35 watts keep it around a kw. Great amp, first metal tubes Ive had around love it.

Bought a new cobra a year ago getting back into CB. But since then I'v been having fun looking for great deals on second hand stuff. Second hand but good to excellent shape. Most the stuff you guys are showing here is way beyond my pay grade (or understanding) but I found a nifty little unit the other day and It's really come in handy. It's called a Land Matic microphone tester. Some guy had it from an estate sale or something and let me have it for a good deal. Like I said, I've bought a number of radios the past year and making sure they all work good isn't always easy. I had a great Cobra in one of my trucks for 6 months and it seemed to be fine but when I ran two trucks up to a job, I ended up listening to it for an hour and it was way over modulated. Pulled it out and replaced it but never knew what the problem was. Anyway, got this mic tester and tried out that mic first. sure enough the mic was the problem, no matter the volume, it just splattered and fuzzed up everything. The tester is a small box with 7 female jacks covering the most common mics out there with a small amp and speaker (or you can use an external speaker). It's just like having talkback but you can test all your mics from all your radios. In an hour, I found 5 or 6 bad mics that were scratchy or very soft or would break up or squeal. Unless you're using a talkback radio, you never really know how you sound unless someone tells you, and few actually do, they either put up with the noise or ignore you. So, it was a great little tool to add to my equipment.
