well shoot Im a Tard
the guy has either a AR44 rotor or a AR45 rotor
he thinks its a 4 or 5 wire hookup
he needs the unit that sits on the desk you click button in middle to release brake then click switch to go either clockwise or counterclockwise.

sorry to much RF i guess

200,000 watts of ERP might be cause of it.

I've never seen either of those rotors have only 4 or 5 wire hookups. The AR-22 is 4 wire, and the AR-40 is 5 wire. Neither (that I've ever seen) have a manual brake release button, but are automatic. Sounds to me like he just needs a new or rebuilt control box. There are a couple of "rotator repair" shops online if you do a google search. They almost always will have replacement parts/controller/rotors in stock. I'll send you a follow up PM that might help

Good luck. ;)

Just like 231 the rotor numbers had me scratching my head. The CD 44 and CD 45 are 8 wire.

If it turns out to be a AR 22 let me know.I use to have a control box for one of them around here some were. Not sure if i still got it but i will look.
