I finally got the general lee I've been wanting for a long time. I talked it over with Al and he told me to give him a weeks notice so he would have enough time to get it ready for me. Two days later I had the cash in hand and called him as excited as a kid at christmas. I told him I could swing by next thursday to give him time. He then told me he had enough time to work on it now and would need only two hours. He was working late that night so I ended up picking up the radio, a freq counter, filter and skythumper 65dx mic by 7pm. I hooked it up tonight and it sounds GREAT. I get nothing but "loud and clear" reports. I even had another driver say he was embarassed to key up on his little radio with all the big radios around. This is the presence I want to bring to the table when I'm on air. The receive is wonderful. I didn't expect all that much difference from my modded up cobra 29 but the difference is very clear. Pardon the pun. Sparkys is well worth every penny.
