Here is a post I submitted in another forum. Give Sparky's a call and he will fill you in. I got a good deal and it is probably doing around 150 peaks. Me meter is like most....poopy.

" Well, I went ahead and got a Galaxy 48T from Al instead of the Magnum. Man, this radio is a screamer. My buddy Dave is used to hearing my other radio that is really nice and clean but doesn't have the typical Galaxy audio presence.
I key'd up and all I said was "Dave" in a fairly loud voice. The first thing I heard from him was "Holy S**t", you must have gotten your new radio". Anyway.....it does the job, for sure. "

I run a Cobra 200 GTL DX right that has outstanding studio quality audio when I run it through my processing equipment and it is loud. The 48T audio is not as smooth, processed as is my Cobra bit it is totally clear, understandable and really loud...did I say loud...did I say loud? Typical Galaxy audio presence.

hey thanks for the reply man, i actually decided to get the connex 4600 turbo just based off the awesome things i've been reading about it. they both have the 2290's in them so they both should have the same output. i'll let you guys know how the "sparkified" turbo sounds

thats a good radio causmic. i HAD a galaxy 95t2 and i got a 98vhp and they are audio monsters for sure. the way the face plate is lit up is cool to.
