I have a CN-801 Diawa but mine is the H model. Mine goes from 1 to 200Mhz what is the range of your V model? I like mine but on the 200 watt scale if you send it 150 watts it reads 150 watts but when you switch over to the 2000 watt scale and send it the same 150 watts the meter reads 250 watts?? Just a little off but what can you do I don't think you can adjust these meters? Nice looking shack you have there. I have a Yaesu 920 that has the mod but the radio doesn't swing on AM. When you key the radio puts out 40 watts and that's it i get no swing out of it at all? I can't use an amp with it because of the no swing thing. Does your Icom swing on the AM side?

I have the 801 HP as well. Mine doesn't do that though. Mine seems to be fairly accurate on all 3 scales. Sure is easy on the old eyes, which I like.

Nice IC-746, too Moonshiner! ;)
