Tram 201 chassis mounted power connector

#151559

Post by Boosted »

Anyone know where I could find a chassis mount power connector that mounts in the rear of the Tram 201 radio??? Preferably not an "original" connector, but something that is a little more durable. See attached picture. Thanks!

Hey Boosted,

I would try Barkett Electronics for something like that, or maybe Maycomm Electronics. Both outfits have websites, and the Barkett one you can order via the web, but there is a 20$ minimum...

If you don't find a power socket there, I will ask around. If Barkett/Maycomm has one, it's going to be NOS (new old stock) left over from the factory and it will be original...As for getting something a little more durable, I don't know of many other electronics that utilized this kind of power socket, so you might be restricted to whats on the site...

Good luck!

Boosted,

I went on Barkett and they have a 2-pin socket for 6.95.

The 201A has a 3-pin plug when I looked at the back of mine...do you have an 201 or the A model?

Thanks for the help Jester. I went to the Barkett site and ordered a 3-pin socket and a new cord. About $20...not too bad.
