My brother did have one, he traded, but it had talkback, front mic mount, and the board was pretty much like a Cobra 148GTL, it was a good talking radio, he traded to get a 10 meter radio, Sherman is a CB with AM/SSB

Mudduck I checked your site and couldnt find them ? Any info or write ups ?
It has the same basic board as the old 148. I would say that there the same. They tune up the same and sound the same. If you like that old school 148 sound and looks its a good deal but the Galaxy 959 can be easily modded for channels and a extra final with variable power, talk back and other features makes this the best CB radio ever made. Please note that I said CB not Glorified CB LOL.
