What size OD mast does this antenna accept? Local friend is looking at getting one for top of his tower above his 4 element horizontal yagi on 10 meters

and needs to know if his mast is too large OD wise . He has 2 inch supporting beam now. It appears to fit over the top of the mast is that correct?

According to the assembly instructions, it takes up to a 1 1/4" mast pipe.

I just emailed him the link .Yeap it looks like he would need to make an adapter sleeve from his 2 inch to make it work up there .
I bet he already has the antenna ordered by now from that website and already digging out his welder .Thats the way he operates .....

Might be better to use a separate mast rather then putting it on top of the beam. Sometimes putting antennas on top of your beams like that can cause problems with pattern. Just a thought.

I have a I-Max 2000 on top of a Maco 5 element . No ground plane kit. Its been working great for 6 years . You might be right about the Maco 5/8 with the radials though. :?:
