Hope you're not serious--------it wasn't you was it ?? It's real bad as the center-conductor will be forced closer to the shielding developing into a major problem for sure. He'll find out.

Through the door or back window molding. The gaskets are thick enough on most vehicles that you will not damage the coax.

Well I guess that's true I'm using large diameter coax wasn't really thinking about mini-8 / RG58 or 174 those would seem thin enough to slip in with the foam gaskets without too much compression. Sorry wasn't thinking I run a heavier 214 cable and it goes thru the firewall. I know it's not good practice if there are pinch-points, kinks and repeated flexing and have seen countless coax lengths damaged in such a manner. Perhaps your friend's coax run is okay?

that's how I've always ran my coax...they put the holes right under the seat in my truck. Punch out the little plastic/metal plug and you're good to go. Gromet = very important. :)
