Heres a mystery for someone to solve

Me and two of my buddies sittin in our trucks, parked door to door. We talk to each other on cb's cause it's too cold to have the windows open. The thing is, I can hear one guy, but I cant hear the other. It's always the same guy that I cant hear, and as soon as we get about 30 feet away I can hear him again. There is one notable difference. Me, and the guy I cant hear have, good, well tuned antennas, while the other guy has a crappy untuned antenna. Can anyone explain why this happens, and is there anything I can do to fix it. Short of hooking up a crappy antenna.

Thanks,

There is a "Quick-Fix" to this problem... Like "HI-TECH" was saying. Your signal is shooting right over the other guys head...What y'all can do, is each of you get one of those stick-on Window antennas....They are the worse CB antennas made to date, as for as distance go's. However in your case, this would be a "Good-Thing"...

Cant run a amp with one, just a barefoot radio. And you would need to disconnect your other antenna, when using the glass-mounted antenna.

They look sorta like the glass-mounted cell-phone antennas you see on cars. And they can be found in the "CB Radio" section on EBay for almost nothing....
