Crystals either plug in or solder in depending on the radio.

Johnson Messenger uses Plug In. Call the xtal company and tell them the radio make and model you have. The frequency or channel you need and they will cut them for you.
Kens won't have what he needs.

BUT WHAT IF HE HAS A JOHNSON MESSENGER 1 OR 2 HE DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT TYPE OF JOHNSON MESSENGER IT WAS. THOSE ARE CHANNELIZED RADIOS REQUIRING A CRYSTAL FOR EACH CHANNEL WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF HOLDER, FREQUENCY AND LOADING CAPACITANCE REQUIREMENT THEN SYCRO CRYSTALS. KEN WILL NOT HAVE THEM!!!

Depending on the last time it was used, you may need to change the power supply filter cap.

You ever had a tube radio, or any other tube equipment before and worked on it?

If not, be careful, there is some serious voltage roaming around in those things that can, under the right conditions, light you up like a Christmas tree. When you power it up and work on it, only use 1 hand in the radio and keep the other one in your pocket, or behind your back... and keep your nuts off anything that might provide a ground ;)

Also, after you turn the radio off and unplug it, you can still get nails because teh power supply filter cap stores voltage... ;)

If you can't find a power cord for it you can always hard wire it. Look up the Schematic on CB Tricks follow the wiring for the AC IN 115v goes to Pins 3 and 6 on the Octal Socket on the back of the radio. Put a jumper between Pins 4 and 5. Make sure you use a fused cord.
