if you have the driver built in you shouldn't be turing anything off. the driver is already built in. unless you have 1 weird setup there . but i would have to say you should have bought a DAVEMADE. why would you run the driver seperate when its made to run together. just curious not trying to start anything

its built where you can run the driver alone

could be a number of things. i would suggest if you don't know what to do with it send it to a tech to fix. and just put a letter in there saying what is wrong. and also i would like to see some pics

no it does not have a pre amp . you can run the driver by itself or all together or just the 8 pills by themselves. it has 2 switches and a varable . i will post a pic tomorrow

Hello cannonball... It sounds to me like it is in the switching diode.... Question: If the box is on the off position receive is great, soon as you turn it on receive drops out right???? If so it is probably the switching diode like I stated by the large relay for the straight 8....It happens now and then.... Give me a call.... This part is a simple repair....

Thanks Steve

thats crazy. were is teh switches for turing the drive on and off. by looking that picture all thattells me is that it has varible power and a high and low switch. are you postive that you can turn the drover on and off and run it like you say. that is very odd.

yes . the low switch is for the driver and the high is the 8 pills. i for one like the way it is setup alot better than that overpriced davemade crap

did you askf for it to be built like this. bbuddy of mine has a 2x8 and it looks the same and those switches aren't for that purpose. i am not trying to starting anything just curious cause i have ask a few people that are very knowledgeable about amps. and they were like uh uh uh. weird. but i am glad you got the problem simi fixed. you should be good to go as soon as the parts get there. good luck

The low switch runs the 2 pill driver and the high switch is for the stright 8... With both switches at "on position" it is running the complete 2x8... The varible potentiometer is for the control of the 2 pill driver dead key... Low dead key= BIG SWING... Very simple amp design!!!
Good going Charger
Hope I could help
