I'll tell you about realistic radios, years ago they were made by Uniden, same plant that Uniden made Cobra radios, they were both good radios, in the mid-late 80's Cobra had their radios made by Maxon, not they well made, but still good old radios, Realistic followed cobra, the Base you are looking at is a Maxon base, can be tuned to around 7 or 8 watts (AM), would be a base to run with an amp, just don't have it peaked, might have the key up turned down
AM power tune L8 and L12,,,,can't remember what SSB power is, don't put a lot of money in it, but if you run an amp it will talk clean
