Got up this morning and hooked up my base to see if the dx was rollin and checked my SWR's fine (1.1) then made a call and NO SWING ???? 12w DK and 13 to 14 swing on AM. Switched to LSB and swing to 30w ave pep 50w...normal for ssb. Back to AM... same thing 12w swing to 13-14w. RF pwr all the way up. All the way down 2w DK 2.5 swing.
Mic is a Turner +3 Desk mic. Battery???? Nope. Hooked it to my Dwight D...Normal.
Antenna is a I-Max 2000 at 40 ft
Bought it new in 97. Only a standered peak, tune and conversion done when I got it.
Any Idea's???? Thanks

Re: RCI 2980
I'm gonna bump this back to the top. Could it be the finals? How do you test them? I've never had any trouble out of this radio. thanks 385
