how to remove talk back on cobra 2000 gtl base?

I bought a used cobra 2000 gtl.but the guy i bought it from has talk back hooked up to it for the AM side and its on all the time and i cant shut it off theres no switch for it.I cant turn my mic up without it feeding back from the talk back.where do i look in the cobra 2000 gtl for the talk back?is there some sort of wire i can cut to shut the talk back off?anyone know?thanks

Its possible all he aded was the resistor on the back part of the radio
