i went to rat shack and bought the 25-1300mhz scanner antenna they have.
question is, could i run 2 scanners off of 1 antenna?
and would the antenna interfere or make my SWR's for my 102" shot up?
does it matter where on my truck i mount the antenna?

Yes, you can run it into two scanners. There would be some signal loss, but it should be okay. Any more than that and you might want to consider a pre-amp. The antenna should have little impact on your 102" whip.

Hi Rabbit 227
Although; not as critical as a transmitter, the receiver should "see" the proper input impedance. When the input and output of two components in a circuit have the same impedance, then there is a maximum transfer of energy. The AGC (automatic gain control) in the scanner's receiver will respond properly as long as the match is close. Any large mismatch will affect the AGC.
Again; I do not see this as critical. How many times have you seen a car with a coat hanger as an antenna? Having used a coat hanger as an antenna I can tell you that the radio did "Pick-Fence on FM much more easily. On AM the signal would cut in and out at the fringe of the station's normal range. When this happened I changed the station.
As long as the scanner antenna is not sitting right next to the 102" whip, you will have no problem.

and the 102" is in the hear of my cab and the scanner antenna is on the front driver side fender
