Just Bought A Radio Shack PRO-135

#232685

Post by Checkers »

Like it says! Just bought a Radio Shack PRO-135 for $100
Then I got to thinking, should I even take it out of the box? Or is there something better out there?
I live in Bozeman, MT so I'm almost positive that I don't need to get one capable of trunking yet.
Do you guys think that I will need one within a few months or years though?
THanks for any info you have!

Everything in that area is either on VHF or UHF. The only thing you would need a trunking scanner for is to listen to the state highway patrol.

Only if that 'trunking' is used in your listening area.

Ok, so I talked to a few people today and decided to return it.
A few of the local cities are swapping to digital and like homeboy said, so has the state highway patrol.
So in that case, I'm in the market for a trunking scanner now!
Any recommendations and personal choices?
Thanks!
