Would I be wise to get one of these for my 2547?
PDC 1089 Low Pass TVI Filter
Helps eliminate TV interference.

Rated at 1000 Watts when used at 0-30 MHz

Includes two SO-239 jacks for PL-259 connectors.

Impedance 50 Ohm.

Size 5" x 4" x 2".

is this a decent filter?

Oh yeah my setup consists of SWP Galaxy 2547.....A99 that is 88' to the tip nearest neighbor is 100 yards away....I am looking at a little fire for the wire but it will be awhile before that happens

I have used one for years, because of the neighbors,,LOL,,and it will clean up the watts and keep them off the cordless phones and TV's

Paradynamics Low Pass is a good one.

MFJ makes an awesome one as well, but costs considerably more than the PDC. But, in this case the old addage of you get what you pay for holds true.

That would help on interfearance for sure. You could also try a better coax. Good ones will keep the bleedover to a min.

A low pass is always a good idea...especially if you plan on running a few watts. The amp merely amplifies the harmonics coming from the radio. The Low Pass helps remove them. Ground everything to a good earth ground as well and give the harmonics a place to go.
