Any one had any luck with using computer speakers on your base? I hooked a pair up and the sound is awesome !! Had to change the mono plugs to get them to work. The problem is when I key , The feed back though the speakers is terrible. Is there a cure for this and can other station on the receiving end here this feed back ??

I would expect that the cure, may not be better than simply getting a non-amplified speaker setup.

Cowboy posted on comp speakers he used with a power inverter and seams to be ok for now. There are a lot of factors going on with a powered speaker system that can be hard to overcome. I agree on using a good non amplified speaker.

If you are keyin up and hear a squeel or feedback, chances are that other radios hear it too.
