what cause your cb radio to shut by it self when keying up the mic ?? only thing that running is the radio no linear amp walter6388@yahoo.com

Low voltage, bad power lead connection(s), too light duty of wire leads, and with some amateur HF gear RF getting into the rig. Can't say as I've ever had it happen on a CB before...unless the power supply didn't have enough amps to supply it (like using a 3amp supply on a sideband radio).
What radio (specifically) are we talking about here? Some are more prone to problems than others.

It's galaxy dx 929. the radio is plug into the cigarette lighter adapter!!! i might have change the plug

It sounds like low voltage IMO I would go to the battery
