That was nice of MM to record a gate, if I would have known we had a gate going I would have said Thanks to CBRT not just the internet.
It was cool to make a CBRT Contact.

Dang, I run an overmodulated POS 10 meter from 45+ miles away and get no love. Dang Roughneck, next time I get to be the one close to the gate. LOL

The limiter was cut on my radio. I bought it that way and didnt know it was cut until I opened it up later. Personally im not too bothered by it. But, Im much more excited by how far my setup can go on a good day with no conditions. Ive known Roughneck for a while and have always wanted to make contact. So it was cool for many reasons. It was one of those days when the radio was quiet. I drove the jeep way back into the woods and found a hill. I hollered out to the static and got a come back. I still get a thrill out of just talkin to somebody on the CB. Problem is, that darn overmodulated 10M is starting to become a signature sound. Oh well...

Sometimes you got to stop worrying about all of the technical mumbo jumbo, which radio you are using, whether or not you got all of the bells and whistles and the BS and just key up.

BTW gents. Thanks for the flowers. I think Roughneck sounds really good. On the gate he was just a couple of miles away... but, on my end he was 45 miles or more away from me and still sounded good.
