Cold weather question

#260928

Post by pitbull3825 »

I now own two Palomar 300a tube amps. I want to hook one up on my garage set up. My question is it gets cold here in SE WI my garage is insulated and I have heat lamps available. If I hook it up out there will i risk damaging it in any way or is there some thing I can do to not hurt it. Like put a heat lamp over it or build a little insulated box????

The cold isn't going to hurt it.
Turn it on and let it warm up for while before using it or leave it on all the time when it's cold, the filaments in the tubes generate their own heat.
