Whiteface Johnson
Just picked one up on ebay.Any mods i should do to it.anywhere i can get channel crystals,really need 28...any input on this thang is welcome...thanks alot!

You could adjust L9 the Plate Tune and C49 the Antenna Loading for maximum output it probably could use it after all these years.29va wrote:Any mods i should do to it.

You could also get them from a crystal manufactuer but that would cost an arm and a leg.

I see them on ebay , listed for the Messenger 2 Blackface.Same radio.I have 6 of them.If you wanted channels 23 and below , I have a bunch of those type crystals but I have no idea what they fit.I dont need them.If you see a Blackface , grab it.You will have 10 transmit channels plus 23 tunable recieve.
