Any ssb clubs in or around NYC?

I have no idea what's in your area but will bump your post up to the top for you.

I know sideband is very active in my area but there is no official club(s) per say. There used to be a few here in the "Left Coast" (which isn't nearly as populated as NY), but most if not all have gone by the wayside over the years as folks start dying off. However the ones that are still around occasionally get together for coffee (or food) and gossip. I just did that about a month or two ago with a few and it was a good time.

Yea, you are right around the corner! Unfortunately most of my Equipment is down right now. I was causing interference with my neighbors electronics. I'm studying for my ham license right now So I can do some repeater and satellite stuff(low Power). At least till' I can figure something with the neighbor problem. Like kill em' or move.

Have you tried putting a low pass filter in line? what were you interfering with? i was causing some interference and i installed a filter and it helped.

My problem is I'm stuck in a six story apt. Building and I'm not allowed on the roof. I had to run antennas out the window mounted on the side of the building. Inverted V dipole and a vertical. I think I was splashing RF into all of the windows above and below me. Wish I could figure out how to get on the roof. I would and be back on tonight.

Hey ussixtysix try lower 39 and listen for awhile there are some people very close to you, there are a bunch of us hanging there in NY city upstate, out on the island and the Jersey boys too

Seems there was an issue with someone jamming our 39 LSB so my guys and myself moved to 37 LSB and seems there are South, Central and North Jersey people along with NYC guys
