kinda a newbie but pretty handy , I just moved up to the big league to me anyway need advice on best antenna location and antenna. I like to run single coax and single antenna simple and to the point . 05 379X i have a 12 " headache rack with 3 doors so i could mount to it and it would put antenna in center of vehicle or i could mount to the back of sleeper? want to stay away from mirrors due to the fact that i travel tiny logging roads and goat trails. and the fact that mirrors are broken off annually hehehehe :pale: still want a tough antenna that can take a pretty good lick . I have thought of mounting a 108" on the frame between the headache rack and the back of the sleeper but afraid this will defeat the purpose?? there is always alot of traffic and everyone is talking at the same time !!! i want to be sure im heard and dont get smashed into again any comments and advice would be great thanx!!!!

I work with some guys hauling chips, wood chips not frito lay chips, they run their ant on the head ache rack. Not the steel whips but everything in between. Some say they sacrifice from the 42 foot long piece of aluminum behind the ant but maybe that's just opinion. So yea on the rack works and keeps the limbs from tearing it off the mirror.... I watched a 10k in slow motion get turned into scrap metal that way once.

GLad you got a 4600 turbo, hope you love it fantastic radios.
