what would happen if you didn't have your radio tuned for an amp would it have really high swr or would it just sound funny?

You can have many things happen, but basically you at lease need a lower dead key, my radio dead keys 1.5 watts and swings, drives my amp good, a matched amp/radio will last a good long time, if not matched you can burn up the pills in the amp, finals in the radio ect,,,,,,and..................

I can't remember what the lowest power is on my radio . It's 1 of RA's SWP 88's . all i can remember is it'll swing 45 watt's

I think the low power that RA has it set at is 1.5 watt's , 4.5 on High but it'll swing 45 . So hopefully in a week i'll have an RA 250 . but not sure if my K-40 will handle the power of the amp .

be carefull a high swr you could blow up your amp i know i have done it.
