I am getting really close to mounting my new Monkey Made antenna (thanks CBRT and MONKEY MADE pics to come soon) in my Dakota. I am planning to use a mast similar to Brutus. The problem I am up against right now is the truck has a factory bed liner. Can I get by with drill through the liner and attaching ground straps, or do I need to cut the liner and bolt it directly to the bed? I plan to use grounding straps either way.

The idea is to make good mechanical and electrical connections. If you can do that by sandwiching the bed liner, that'll work fine. If you want or feel like you need to trim that bed liner out of the way to do that good mechanical/electrical connecting, then do so. It can be done either way. The same thing holds true for the spray-in bed liners. If you can make the proper connections without removing it, why not? It certainly works, I've done it.
