The Doctor is IN !
No conditions all day..or so I thought
Critter posts on the shoutbox about what he is hearing on the AM side ch 28...so went to check it out.
Turns out I seem to have the same receive..so things are starting to heat up. 
Saw drdx on the shoutbox ..and gave a call out on 28 AM...knowing I had conditions .
Very short QSO, but It could of went longer had we QSYed ... Arkansas was wiping me out with +15 over.
This a short gate with drdx at the very end of it
Sorry for the quality..need to do some work on that department.

Yeah, I can't believe we made it. We started on 28am, he had Arkansas tearing it up on his end, we went to 27, and on there I'm talking to a local 30 miles to my east. That's how quiet it was, 30 miles of local range and Island drifting in and out. Once you get the quad up I think we'll have much better chances. The flight distance between us is about 1900 miles, not bad. I think you were getting more "watts per mile" than I was. I was in the 1 watt per mile ballpark at the end there.

I heard 1.98 in there two or 3 times too. So I called about a dozen times. I also had all of Kentucky and Tenn call him. I had the following rolling five toward $1.98: Doorknob, Daddy Longlegs, Cheeseburger, Grasshopper, and lumberjack! And No Luck! LOL couple random guys said" "that ric flair sure wants to talk to $1.98!"

Hey man, I heard people talking back into your area but never heard anyone myself from down there. I went to a meeting yesterday and had a half hour last night drive up a nice high tollway that kept my directional mobile aimed slightly NE so I was getting pounded by KY, TN, etc in that general area. It has been a long time since I've heard it that busy and I hope it keeps up. I did hear Cheezeburger out there, I was just ignoring him, it drives him crazy. Thanks for the report.

Think I'm understanding how DX works here in the Island.
Seems that for me ..Texas and the Bayou are located in the same DX path.
I shouted for you doc on 28 at 4 thru-5 PM CST.
The same boys from Arkansas let me shout out for you this time...I asked for a "break 28 " lol
After no response... I started a pileup on 28 ...West Virginia Tennessee Texas all trying to contact me.
I got "HOT" conditions as usuall here after 4PM CST.....over 1 hour QSO into the Bayou..and this is the 2nd day in a row !
On the day that we made that first contact drdx ..is the first time I talked to Ric Flairs local on 24.
