Thanks for the help Guys. I just tested my new radio after rewiring and grounding and it sounds awesome. I did use #10 wire and a 30 amp fuze inline of the positive at the battery. I wasn't too concerned with the SWR's after I got the 1.1 at 1 and 40. I did eliminate the inline toggle switch for cleaner power. As far as the noise toy goes I guess I'll do without it. I only used the recorder but it did have a neat echo but I decided to give other drivers a break. Let me ask You all something, Should I consider getting a Frequency counter just to make sure I don't wander off the Freq I'm on? Just wondering :DJ: :compress:

Glad to hear you got it all working great. No real need for a freq counter on a regular 40 channel radio. The counter is most helpful if you are using SSB or other bands so you know where you are. hope that helps. see ya
