Dominican Republic to Myrtle Beach S.C... Strange DX !

Strange conditions in the D.R tonight.
Hurricane Irene is directly over my location to the North ...check out the Satellite IR picture
This is my first South Carolina contact ever from the Dominican Republic...on AM no less
They were rolling in at S9 at times here with a 20 min QSO to the D.R....otherwise everything else on 11 Meters was DEAD ...just these 2 guys talking...WoodChopper and 205
Now the scary thing is that hurricane Irene is supposed to make landfall at Myrtle Beach S.C ..look at the 2nd pic from NOAA
Going to be an interesting week to see where this dangerous hurricane ends up....Stay safe N.C and S.C
