Eagle MK IVA output
Had the old boy on line the other day. Noticed sideband output way down. Checked and AM in down to about three watts from 4.5. Sideband is only doing about the same. Checked the tubes and they all check good. Any ideas? Thanks Mark

Ok so nobody knows. Is there a tech, a real tech that knows these radios well. I don't want to ship this thing then have it sit on shelf for six months then have "The Golden Screwdriver" jack it up. I have owned this set for thirty years and would like to keep running for another thirty. Thanks Mark

Browning Golden Eagle Mark 1, 2, 3, and 4, I don't believe you never heard it called that before. It just happens to be the insignia on the speaker of the receiver.

Boxed him up and sent him to the bird hospital. Hope the prognosis is good.

Didn't try it. All was well then went wacko. Was working fine then didn't. Just decided it was time for a refurb.

Re: Eagle MK IVA output
Hi
Thanks for the interest. Was a year old post but the outcome was terrific. The radio went to Fixer, he's on our forum and in Indiana. The man is a Rembrandt on these old tube radio's. I have it up and running every chance I get.It got extra's put in it and is a real joy to use. Works better now that it did 25 years ago. If you've never had the opportunity to own or play with on of these great sets at least find one to play with for an afternoon you'll be hooked for life
