Radio Shack TRC-6
When I was a very young teenager I saved up my grass cutting money and bought a brand new Radio Shack TRC-6. It is a 5 channel crystal controlled transmit, 1 channel crystal controlled receive with 23? channel super regenerative tuneable receive. I still have the the radio, and the last time I plugged it in it still worked. I am now 65 yrs. old , so that tells you how far back this baby goes. Anybody ever heard of it or do I really have a great collectors piece?

Hello B C,
Welcome to the forum. You are a couple years older than me but yes I know that radio. It was Allied Radio Shack back in the day, they brought electronics to the average Joe. Glad to hear you still have it and you can still find crystals for it too.

I have a TRC-6 that is still working as NEW and it has NEVER been worked on. Great radio for it's time. Too bad Rat Shack got away from CB especially since radios were their main product when they started. NOW-- Don't go to Rat Shack unless you want a cell phone.
