Cobra 29 NW ST WX Peak & Tune?

#37079

Post by Choirboy »

I took my 29 in for a peak & tune this morning. The tech said he got the dead key from 4 to 8 watts and the modulation (PEP, I guess) from 9 to 27 watts. Does this sound right (I saw the meter readings)? I thought only the older 29s would swing that high....

Thanks, y'all!

Yea the newer ones have a 2sc2078 final, and the older ones have a 2sc1969 final,,,but a Dosy meter might show that much, usually you can get the newer 29's swing to about 20 watts,,,don't run an amp with a dead key at 8 watts, or you'll blow it up,

I got a response to a radio check from about 15 miles away this evening (on I-35 in Austin), so I guess that's good news.... :D
