"Big" radio?
"Big" radio?
Please pardon yet another stupid newbie question ....
When y'all refer to a "big" radio, do you mean a 10- or 11-meter band amateur radio that is not subject to the FCC 4 watt limit and requires a license to operate, or just a hotrodded CB? I'm assuming that the 10-or 11-meter radios will talk on the CB band....
Thanks!

Alot of export radios that have the CB 11 meter band come standard with alot more wattage power than your standard CB Radio. They also have more features.
But to me a "big Radio" dosnt have to be an export or anything other than a "CB". To me a "big Radio" is someone talking on CB band with
1. More power than 4watts (and no not 5-6 watts, lol you know what im saying)
and or
2. Has been peaked and tuned to give max audio and swing,, things like that.
Example..
A cobra 29 is not a big radio its a standard CB
A cobra 29 with a tune and running on a 200watt amp, thats a "big radio"
