I have a Galaxy 225 that I cant get rid of, so I'm going to put it in the garage. I have access to a Cobra GTL for cheap that has already been tuned down and had some work done on it by. "Bullet Bill". So, it is amp ready. I don't know what the amp draws. I saw at the SHACK. Radio shack that is, they had a AC/DC 15 AMP power supply. Would that be enough to power the radio and the galaxy? Thanks for the impute.

Probably would the Galaxy probably at best has 2 1446 pills, they don't draw alot, but a bigger power supply would be better, so you don't strave the amp

What do you think the correct power supply would be? Is 15 amp enough? Like you stated, I don't want to starve the amp. But I want to be able to power them both.

20 amp would do just fine
