Just a reminder that some of us member's are using the program Zello. There is a app out there for it to use on your cell phone and it's downloadable from zello.com and it's free.

Barry (108dt206) from Scotland has started a channel on it named Cbrt.

Check it out and it's a cool way to keep in touch with other radio operator's when there no skip condition's. If you want to add me as a contact, My name is 2WR267.

You can get a camera/mic cheap on that auction site then you can download Skype and get on there too.

Don't know...But something like that sorta takes the fun out of it don't it?

I mean, why bother with a radio and all that go's with it, if you can just download a app? May as well just get the guys phone number and call him...Or log into some chat-room...

Zello will never replace talking on the radio for sure and i wasn't intending it too.
Just another way to keep in touch and especially when there no condition's to talk in the radio.

Ok guys.. I've downloaded zello again and I'm gonna resurrect the cbrt channel.. hopefully catch ya on it..

I just suffered a computer crash,, as soon as I get it back to my spec's I'll download Zello again. My channel is MD*DX, email or PM me for the password.

I agree, kinda takes away from that old school feel... Like taking a class online rather then being in the classroom...
