CB Radio Talk

This is crazy, my kids came and woke me up out of a nap saying daddy daddy we hear people talking on our walkie talkie, are they talking back to us.

I got out of bed and listened very closely and heard a man say, "The West Coast Beast Got Down!" I was thinking, no way lol no way....so I started my video recorder to document this.

Just imagine now many other kids on the East Coast yesterday was listening to the Super Bowl, 27.025 MHz on therd Dollar General $5 Walkie Talkies.

if you live close enough or have good conditions you wont even need a coax plugged in to hear anyone
the walkie talkie is doing what its supposed to do
now as far as it talking back to anyone good luck

Arn't those kids walkie talkies 49 MHz ? harmonics? Seems like I had 49 MHz walkie talkies as a kid that picked up some cb radio interference.

Maybe some of them. The set my friends daughter has say 27.145 on the back. He was hearing some guys fighting and cussing not too long ago.

The way things are built in China coming to the USA for sale I am surprised it actually works. I am guessing the circuitry is so wide banded it will pick up half the CB band, 27.145 is an R/C channel still put can be used in toys transmitting voice less than 100mw. I would send a copy of the video to MMM, bet he would get a kick out of it.

No telling how many channels those things can hear. He lives 15 miles across town and I could hear the guys loud and clear on my base. Just some fools in DX that were having a very heated debate between CH 15 & 16. I seem to remember watching a YouTube video where a mother was outraged when she heard the language coming from the kid's walkie talkie. She was even madder when she found out there was nothing that could be done to stop it.

I talked to MMM yesterday in DX and was telling him about this post. He got a laugh out of it.......LOL

I remember as a kid, about 8 or 9 years old, getting some walkie talkies for Christmas. Imagine my surprise when I heard, and spoke to, a pilot that was circling Miami International Airport! We only lived a few miles from the airport at the time.
