sure thing, here is the gizmotchy G21 on my house "roof is flat and about 45-50feet high"

here you see the spt500 and the g21, they are about 9 feet apart, i was worried it would mess with the swr on both but both matched perfectly with very low swr.

pretty cool my friend. Thanks for the pics. Trying to build my own base ant. now. Don't expect much other than failure[ at least on my first few tries] but hey why not?

I have a big interest in your antenna. I have been tossing back a forth about getting an 11m beam, have been watching one (the G31) on "that auction site" for a while, or get a multi-band beam like the Butternut model (10 thru 20m). It will be mounted on a 5ft tripod in the center of my roof, need a small turning radius so as not to hit the other antennas that will be up there with it. I'll be watching your posts.

well, dont know if anyone here is on my facebook "Mark Dirtyjob" but if you are then you already know i fell 12 feet from the top level roof to the secondary roof, however I came away unhurt :P

Anyways, after that I did what I should have done and called my pal over to help me out.

We threw up the comet GP9 2/440 and also added the 3rd element to the Gizmotchy G21 making it a G31 :)

Here are some shots I took, and It made a BIG difference on rejection/forward gain and ears, glad I did it.

match on SPT500 = 1.1:1
match on beam vertical = 1.2:1
match on beam horizontal = 1.1:1

haven't checked the comet 2 meter/440 yet

All in all is was a productive afternoon :) Adding an element to the gizmotchy is easy easy easy :farao:

Glad to hear you are OK!!! I really like my beam and dont think I would ever be without one. Having a beam really opens up a lot of skip too. I have noticed I do better DX with my beam when its only about 22 foot -ish to the boom. It didnt seem to be near as good at 36 foot. Although at 36 foot the local talk and outer surrounding areas where much better then it is at 22.

Thanks, ya note to self, dont refuse help, never go up a ladder without someone watching your back, I'm a stubborn fool. luckily the 12 foot drop went in my favor.
