Maco V58 tuning?
Spent most of the day working on SWR. 1" gap per instructions for the ring. 1/2" gap between the spider for the radials and the bottom of the L PO8P under the bolt monting point . Bottom of L. Set the overall length to 248"s. Extended now. Longer than 248"s. Moved clamp CO1 on the ring. Radials are 18 foot, mounted on a pole. The SWR'S are channel 40 1.4, channel 20 1.5, and channel 1 is 2? The question is have I done something wrong or have I missed something since channel 1 is high. Did a ton of experimenting to get these numbers.
Thanks Hank
Thanks Hank

I forget what length mine ended up at. Moving the the small clamp to different positions around the ring will balance the SWR between ch 1 & 40. Depending of what's around the antenna, the SWR may be lower (or higher) once it's up in the air.

Re: Maco V58 tuning?
Length is probably 2 to three inches longer than the 248 inches. 249 inches is 26 realm?
