has anyone ever used or still use a 555 astatic trucker ? i have one still new in box but dont know nothing about how they sound or are they like the d104 in a case? would they make a good sideband mic ? matched up with a barefoot p c 122..

I had one years ago, should work well on a Uniden PC122, it is a noise cancelling mic so you will have to hold it close to your mouth. I just bought and wired a Astatic DM107-E to my Texas Ranger TR696FD1, it is the same element just not noise cancelling.

thanks.. guess i,ll git me some batteries and do me some end changing.yea i just never seen or heard of them and i been around for quite awhile...

The Duracell 175 is the best, you can find it online for a decent price, not much else will fit in the original battery holder.
