Tram d201 assistance
Hey everyone, so happy I found you. My story short version:
So, I'm. Cleaning out a.few things at my parents house in maine. They both are 90 and unable to get it done. I found my old tram d201still in great condition. Forgot everything and don't know where to begin...an antenna would be nice. Anyone have an interest in helping me get up and running again ?

Hey Ed...
You'll need a power supply, coax, SWR/power meter and an antenna.
Where do you wanna start?

Re: Tram d201 assistance
I just looked at an image of one. I like them style radio's. I had one before that style, different make. I have to think about what it was. You sure it needs a power supply? Looks like it's set up to have an internal power supply.
is this simular to what you have?

Hello Big Rhody Ed,
Welcome to the forum. The start would be where to put the radio, from there you can figure on antenna location and how much coax will be needed. I would get a good ground plane antenna, then you will need to figure out how to mount it. There the coax from the antenna to the radio, a SWR/Watt meter to should it's working right and your all set. Check out the site sponsor's, they will have everything you need.
