looks lots better than a mag mount on the roof, IMO. looking forward to getting an amp and running some DX on ssb!

If you hadn't have had issues with the mag mount, I would have asked you to do a side by side comparison of the mag mount and the 102". Granted, the 102" is mounted lower, it's a 102" and hard to beat! Glad you got it fixed and able to talk more on CB.

couldn't get SWR's below 2.5 with the mag mount, so i figured it was time for a change.

hooked up a meter. swr's are flat 1:1

That is great and normally it doesn't happen. I would be looking for a riser to use instead of the spring, a 102" whip already has enough flexibility to it. What's the plan for the magnet mount?

I just forgot to take the magnet mount off.. wanted to snap a pic quick. as for right now it's sitting in my closet. might gift it to a friend so they can run a cb in their car.
