The auction site sells cell phone cases that blocks gps and cell phone signals when you place the phone inside...

Something from the FCC you may want to read before buying...

I saw those things JJD, think they are for phones that you can't get to the sim card or battery, like an iPhone, just turning it off doesn't stop the locating GPS devise. Not sure but that for personal use I wouldn't believe is against the law. What is against the law is jamming the receive and transmit of someone else phone like the link says. It is funny that a device that is capable of thwarting crimal activity is illegal, I know a few places locally that it would work well.
Did you ever search for one on the internet?

Don't waste your money. Just put in the microwave and hit the popcorn button.

I know what he's wanting. And you can buy them, they look like walkie-talkie's with 2 or 3 (or more) short antenna's stuck on top, and can be used to block incoming and out going cell calls. They use them in Prisons, and places where cell phone service is prohibited... I Googled and found several companies that sell such devices starting at around $300...

Not real sure if you need a permit to use one or even buy one, But I'm sure if your caught jamming cell phones with one, the FCC would be more than happy to make a withdraw from your bank account...
