megawatt power supplies

I"ve been running 2 of the S-700-12 power supplies from Megawatt (site sponsor) for a little over a year. I run them in parallel so I'm delivering almost 100Amps at 14.3 volts. They say don't run them over 14v but I've been doing 14.3 and they are nice and cool and stable.
The fans make a good bit of noise so I have them in the basement running 0/0 wire into the shack.
I run several things off this DC buss and I monitor the voltage closely. Although it does drop about 1/2-3/4 volt under about 45-50a load. I'm pretty impressed with that actually. Looking at the scope it is perfectly clean. nice clean wave form.

For the money, you can't beat megawatt. And made in the USA makes me happy too. They don't come with fancy cases and gauges. Just clean watts.
If you need some amperage for your gear. You should give them a look.

Own one myself. Plan on picking another one up soon. Was thinking of giving mine a nice paint job. And i agree. Made in the USA for me.

i own a mega watt psu as well. s-400-12. i started with a s-350-12 and it only lasted 8 months. but the builder gave me a deal on the s-400-12. so im very happy. they are clean and work well. i pull 30 amps on it all day long and runs cool. unless i am really rag chewing and then the fan will ramp up and it will get a lil warm
