25LTD with the TDA 2003 audio chip newer version help

I'm looking for a Cobra 25LTD with the TDA2003 chip I need the part # for the pll chip IC3 cant seem to find a newer schematic with the part # for the PLL

These chips use a double ROM set to deny illegal modifications. The only difference between the US version and the UK version are the ROM codes.

No Modifications possible.

Here is an update I still need.

I have on order a 9106 pll and hope it is a replacement for the 25ltd pll should have in a few days.

On to my next problem. Same radio its a cobra 25ltd newer version with the TDA2003 audio chip. I did replace the pll with 1 from another radio and radio works so pll bad and 1 is on order.
The problem I'm having is the TX audio and no pa audio.
Radio receives ok no audio problem.

On transmit there is very low audio I have to scream into the radio to get an external modulation meter to move.
I put a radio close to the 25ltd and good signal but low audio.

On the watt/mod meter the watts are around 3 watts but no audio out.

I replaced the TDA2003 with a know good one and same problem low modulation.

So I replaced some caps in the area and also checked some electro/caps most seem good.

I received the tc9106 did not work the chip from ebay is used so dont know if its any good.
Has anyone had to change the pll on a newer version 25LTD and what part # did you use?
All the schematics and service manuals say IC3 or on the chip Cobra 25LTD so no part # anyplace
I did get some info that it might be a TC9106 but the person who sent the 9106 says its a good chip.
Got 2 others on its way so we will say.

Anyone have to replace this IC3 in a 25ltd or other radio similar to the 25LTD?

Here is an update to me looking for the correct pll for the cobra 25ltds. Its no a TC9106 replacement. I received 3 9106 to try and all did not work. So its another 18 pin pll for a replacement. Im looking for the chip pictures with the white writing on the top. If anyone has a correct part # please pass it on. I'm determined to find the correct part#

How old is this radio? The link you posted was from back in 1996, radios have changed a lot since then, I doubt if that chip would work in a newer 25.

25LTD between 2002 and 2013 use the chip im talking about I guess the link i posted is for the earlier 25ltds made before 2002 that use the TC9106 which is not stated its for the earlier 25ltd. Like I said i tried a TC9106 and the led display worked correctly but no channels transmit or receive.. I put a know good pll from a 2006 and the radio works as it should. I'm going to call Dynascan Monday and see if I can get a part# or a replacement pll from them. There are a lot of radios with the same pc board layout that use this chip and no part# what is cobra thinking!!!!!!!!

Did a little search on the web and that seems to be the only chip used in your Cobra, TC9106BP and the TC9106P read the same specs but I didn't look at the pinout to see if it was the same. I think if the channel display was working with one you tried I would have gone over my work looking for a crossed solder joint etc.

No bad solder joints i put a socket there so just gotta plug in the chip.
Like I posted I tried a good chip and radio works ok. So the chip with Cobra 25LTD is most likely proprietary. So gonna call them monday and see if I can get a couple directly from cobra>

I do believe that CB World sells the chip and I'm sure he doesn't sell junk.

Thanks for the info I did check out and they do have them $21.00 each a bit pricey but if he is the only one I will get 2 of them. I still will call Cobra Monday morning and inquire about the chip directly from them.
